What is Raail AirWrap? A peelable auto paint (also know as "Liquid Wrap") that can be applied with turbine or a compressor. Best to use a 60+ gallon compressor or a stage 3 turbine. Painting experience isn't need but helpful though. Raail AirWrap allows someone who wants to change the color of their vehicle with ease, while protecting their factory paint. Drive around for a couple years and peel off later. Change it up whenever you feel like.

What all do I need to spray AirWrap? A clean enclosed location with good airflow and lighting. That's the top 3 most important. Next would be your spray system. Ideally a compressor (60+ gallons) however a turbine will work as well. There are a couple of levels of turbines offered. A stage 1 turbine like the MotoCoat Turbine sprayer will work however if you plan to spray more than once or twice a year, we would suggest looking into getting a stage 3 turbine like the Earlex SprayPort 6003. Checkout our "Starter Kits" for just about everything you will need when it comes to spraying Raail AirWrap.

What all is needed in using liquid wrap. Raail Peelable auto paint

How do I spray AirWrap? Wash with water and dawn dish soap 24-48 hours prior. Clay bar/mitt if needed. Ensure the surface is clean and fully dry before the next step. Mask any areas you don't want sprayed. Including headlights (remove or mask always), door jamb areas and anything else you may not wanted sprayed. Prep is the most important part. Check out our YouTube channel here for some videos. We try to always show the prep side more than anything. Tip: Remove what you can. If the tape and body of the panel are touching, take note of these areas and eiter trim with a razor or peel the tape while the paint is wet. Do a final wipe down with water and denatured alcohol with lint free towel. This is the final step of the prep needed. Very important to do a nice final wipe down.

What all comes in actually spraying: 2-3 light coats, 2-3 medium coats and 3-4 wet coats with 10 minutes to dry in-between and you're set. Looking for a more detailed how-to? Checkout this YouTube Video here

How long will it last? Assuming the surface was cleaned and the proper amount of gallons were applied... 2-3 years on average for Raail AirWrap. Longer if taken care of and shorter if abused however 2-3 years is what we typically see. Looking for something more durable? Checkout Raail Spherical.

Getting ready to spray

We suggest doing a test panel prior to spraying full scale. This is to ensure your gun setting, speed and distance along with color are set. To read a more in depth how to, click here.

Apply 2-3 tack coats of AirWrap Primer. 10 Min in between coats. Medium coats there after.

Apply Primer coats as suggested per correct vehicle kit size. Suggested to use the entire gallon. Spraying panel by panel is fine here.

Apply the Midcoat. This is your tinted gallons. These can be pearls, tints or flakes. Best to apply full passes vs panel by panel.

Allow 2 hours to cure before unmasking.

Which Kit?

FAQ

Q: Can I spray Raail AirWrap with a turbine?

A: Yes. No issues there. AirWrap is great with a turbine or a compressor.

Q: Do I need a paint booth?

A: A paint booth is not required however, having a clean work space helps prevent dirt/trash from landing on the surface.

Q: My vehicle is the same color are the Primer. Do I still need to apply the Primer?

A: Yes, this will ensure durability and prevent any unwanted peeling. Also if you are using pearls, you will always need to spray a base before spraying pearls. You would never spray Clear Midcoat + Pearls over your OEM paint.

Always do a test panel.

Our pearls/flakes ship from us directly here in Jacksonville, FL. Typically same business day if not next business for sure. We do have UPS and USPS shipping options at checkout. Even as fast as next day.

Raail AirWrap and Spherical along with the Drop-in tints must ship UPS ground. Those products unfortunately can not ship next day or any faster than ground. Being hazmat paint and all. However we do ship from a few locations to ensure fast shipments. Orders typically will leave in the same fashion.. 1-2 business days on average.
